A painting makes a meaningful gift for weddings, birthdays or anniversaries. If you have a photo you'd like painted and framed, get in touch — here's exactly how it works.

Prices starting from €250, excluding framing

How to begin

01
Send a photo

Send as many photos of the subject as you can - we can decide together which one to use.

02
Sketch & layout

I'll get started on preliminary sketches, to finalise the composition before painting begins.

03
Paint

The fun part! 2–10 weeks for an average size piece (12" × 16"), depending on complexity and medium.

04
Finishing touches

Drying can take up to 2 months, depending on the medium of the painting. When it's dry it will be varnished & framed. I can do this for you, or you can chose a framer yourself.

Which medium?

Oil

The artists choice — a beautifully rich finish, glazes can be layered over paintings for depth and complexity of colour. Drying can take anywhere from one month to one year.

Acrylic

Acrylic is the better choice when a faster turnaround matters — it dries within hours rather than months, without sacrificing depth.

Watercolour

Watercolour brings a light, luminous quality that oils can't match — perfect for capturing atmosphere and movement, with each piece feeling fresh and alive rather than heavily worked.

Charcoal or Pencil

Charcoal captures emotion and immediacy — bold, expressive marks with rich depth in the darks, ideal for striking portraits, pets and studies with real presence.

Do you have an idea for a painting that someone would love? Get in touch to talk it through.

Butterfly — Acrylic on Canvas

"Butterfly"

“Susan created the most beautiful painting of a butterfly. She was so thoughtful from the very beginning, taking the time to call me and ask about colours, details and the personality of the person receiving it. It made the finished piece feel so personal and special. She even delivered it in person. Absolutely beautiful artwork and such a lovely, thoughtful artist. Highly recommend Susan!”
